Porcelain... What is it and how was it made?

I know what your thinking.  What is porcelain?  Well porcelain is also reffered to as china.  Now your following aren't you.  Well the first time porcelain was made was in the Han dynasty.  Porcelain is made out of white clay.  This white clay is fired in a kiln at very high temperatures.  I'm talking hotter than the Sahara Desert.  After it is fired different types of glazes are put on it.  Designs are also painted on it.  Did you know that for the longest time no one outside of China could figure out how to make it?  Porcelain must have been a pretty good secret back then.
