Why is paper an important invention and how is it made?
Paper might not seem that important to us especially since our homework is usually on it. If it weren't for the invention of paper, today we could still possibly be writing on clay tabelets. That would make homework twice as hard! So you might be wondering... how did we go from clay tabelets to paper? Well a long, long time ago in 105 AD the first process, the pulp process was invented. Later on a court official named Cai Lun invented the process of making the paper out of bark. This was more cheaper, lighter, thiner and more durable. As you can tell we have come a long way with the paper making process.
