How were fireworks discovered and by who?
When you think of fireworks you probably think of the burst of colors on the night of the 4th of July. Have you ever wondered how and why fireworks came into existence? Well 1,000 years ago in the Song dynasty a chinese cook was mixing ingredients together. Whatever he mixed together began to spark and explode. Talk about frightining! Turns out the discovery of fireworks was pretty important.

Wow Kelsey! This is some really cool information. I had no clue that a COOK of all people, found the secret formula for fireworks. Who knew! Have you found out how they puut all the extrordinary colors into the powder?
